I just obtained mine. how do I get that huge chunky metallic piece off the spline to make it look like it does in the 2nd photo. The spline is not exposed. Baffled. Did I get the mistaken item?
A: Get rid of the castle nut from the threaded portion of the shaft. The blade hub adapter must slide off the spline with a tiny persuasion. Then the spline and the threads will be uncovered.

what is the distinction in between the 250179 and the 250001? They appear equivalent to me.
A: The overall box is the same, but the enter shaft technical specs vary in between the two.
